Cin7FlowIntegrations and EDI for Cin7 Core
Cin7 Core EDI

Retailer EDI for Cin7 Core, done for you.

Your retailer wants purchase orders, invoices and despatch advice exchanged as files. Cin7Flow handles that exchange and keeps Cin7 Core in step, so nobody re-keys an order or builds an invoice file by hand.

What EDI means for a Cin7 supplier

The documents, and what happens to each one.

EDI is two companies' systems swapping business documents as files in an agreed format. For a Cin7 Core supplier, these are the ones that matter.

The return leg is half the job.

Getting orders into Cin7 is the part everyone plans for. Sending invoices, cancellations and despatch advice back, in exactly the format and at exactly the time the retailer expects, is where most EDI projects run over.

We scope both directions from the first call, so there are no surprises when the retailer starts testing your invoices.

Why Cin7Flow

EDI built by people who know Cin7 Core.

Made for Cin7 Core

Price tiers, tax rules, locations, credit limits, draft or authorised: Cin7Flow follows your Cin7 set-up instead of working around it.

Problems held, not lost

An order that doesn't fit waits with a plain-English reason, and the right person is emailed. Nothing goes into Cin7 half right.

Exactly their format

Invoice files are checked against the retailer's specification and test files, line by line, before anything goes live.

A fixed IP to whitelist

Connections to the retailer's server come from one fixed address, so their IT team can let it through the firewall.

Moving off Make

Already running EDI through Make? We move it onto Cin7Flow, with cut-over protection so nothing that was already sent goes again.

Australian and close by

Built and supported from Brisbane by Cin7 Core consultants, hosted in Sydney. You talk to the people who built it.

How an EDI project runs

From the retailer's spec to live orders.

  1. Get the specification

We read the retailer's EDI guide and test details with you, and agree what goes in and out of Cin7.

  2. Map and cross-reference

Their fields to Cin7's, their product and store codes to yours.

  3. Test with real files

Orders and invoices run on our staging server and in the retailer's test process.

  4. Go live in parallel

Draft sales first while your team compares, then authorised. Invoices start flowing back.

FAQ

Cin7 EDI questions.

What is EDI?
EDI, or electronic data interchange, is two companies' systems exchanging business documents such as purchase orders, invoices and despatch advice as files in an agreed format, instead of by email or a portal. For a supplier it usually means your retailer's orders arrive as files and they expect files back.
Do we need an EDI provider?
That's up to your retailer. Some exchange files directly over SFTP. Others require an EDI network provider, which delivers their documents to you as files. Either way, Cin7Flow picks up the files and does the Cin7 side.
Which retailers do you support?
Tradelink and Mitre 10 are both live today. If your retailer exchanges files over SFTP or FTP, we can usually build their flow too. Tell us who it is and we'll check their specification.
We already run EDI through Make. Can you move it?
Yes. We move EDI flows from Make onto Cin7Flow. We compare the new files with the ones your partner already accepts, line by line, and protect the cut-over so nothing that was already sent goes again.
What does EDI cost with Cin7Flow?
Flow setup starts at US$1,500, then hosting and monitoring is US$199 a month per flow, in US dollars, including GST. Your retailer or EDI provider may charge their own fees as well.
